Purley Jubilee Pandas u12

Playing Saturdays in the BYDL

The Pandas are an U12 boys team, that will now be playing in a fully competitive 9 aside league within the BYDL, for the 2023/24 season. All games will be played at the same organised venue in Theale, every Saturday morning.

​

The Pandas squad are made up of boys born between September 2011 and August 2012. All the boys now attend a mixture of local secondary schools, which is school year 7. The boys are a very welcoming and friendly bunch and all have made new friends within the team. They are always encouraging, supportive and respectful to each other during our weekly training sessions and on match days.

Following two successive promotions in the 2022/23 season and some great results in this years summer tournaments, we have been placed in Division 2 of the BYDL for the 2023/24 season. We will be aiming to continue our improvement and hopefully achieve further success this season, as well as all the players having plenty of fun along the way.

The Pandas are managed and trained by Neil and James, who have had the pleasure working with the boys to help and guide them to develop their skills and to see them improve in all areas of the game. Our ongoing commitment with the Pandas are; to see all the boys having fun, have all participating with good game time, to guide all to improve technically with their skills & movement, educate all to understand how to work as a team, to be prepared & organised for games and to make sure they all create fond memories to look back on of having been a Purley Panda.

The team is always well supported at games by parents and family. The praise and encouragment that the boys have received is always in a positive manner, which has helped massively with confidence and to gain some great results on matchdays.

Although we are currently a boys team, we encourage diversity at the Pandas and are always on the look out for players to attend our weekly training sessions. With the team stepping up to 11 aside for the 2024/25 season, we will be looking to strengthen our current squad so we are fully prepared for the transition.
